  1. What is the Find Inspiration and Paint It! photo search contest?
    1. Lowe's is asking what your inspiration for the next home makeover is. You can show us by uploading your inspirational photograph and enter for a chance to win! See Official Rules for details.
  2. How do I play?
    1. Enter online at www.lowesfindinspiration.com by completing an Official Online Entry Form including name, address, daytime and evening telephone numbers, e-mail address, verification entrant is 18 years of age or older, acceptance of entry criteria/conditions (e.g., verification of room size) and acceptance of the Official Rules and Publicity Release and Assignment of Rights. In the areas provided as part of the entry process at www.lowesfindinspiration.com, entrants must also submit one (1) photograph showing something that inspires them. Entrant must provide a caption, 25 words or less, indicating why the photo is inspirational. Photograph must be equal or greater quality than 200 x 200 resolution and less than 500K in size. Those of less quality will not be considered.
  3. When does the contest begin and end?
    1. Internet entries will be accepted between 12:01 a.m. Central Time ("CT") on June 25, 2007 and 11:59 p.m. CT on August 17, 2007.
  4. How will the winner be determined?
    1. Judges will select twenty-five (25) Finalists from among all eligible entries received during the Promotional Time Period. These 25 Finalists will be featured at www.lowesfindinspiration.com between approximately August 27, 2007 and Sep 3, 2007 for voting by website viewers. Schedule subject to change; check www.findinspiration.com on August 27, 2007 for start date. Vote totals will determine one (1) Grand Prize winner. See Official Rules for complete details.
  5. What are the criteria by which photos will be judged?
    1. Entries will be screened and judged as they are received. Judges will select twenty-five (25) Finalists from among all eligible entries received during the Promotional Time Period. Finalist judging will be completed on or about August 20, 2007. The judging panel will consist of marketing and/or public relations representatives from among the following Lowe's Companies, Inc. ("Lowe's") ("Sponsor"), The Valspar Corporation, Bridgetree, Inc. SPC Custom Publishing, Inc., Tribal DDB Chicago. All entries will be evaluated on a 100 point scale, as follows:
      • A maximum of 25 points for creativity, which is defined as being original and unique.
      • A maximum of 25 points for inspiration, which is defined as offering the greatest potential for a unique room design that would feature Valspar Paint.
      • A maximum of 25 points for the photo caption, which is defined as your best description in 25 words or less of the design idea inspired by this image.
      • A maximum of 25 points for use of color, which is defined as the best depiction of a color or colors that, can be reproduced with Valspar Paint.
    Entries with the highest point totals will be selected as the potential Finalists, subject to confirmation of eligibility. See Official Rules for complete details.
  6. When will the winners be announced?
    1. Grand Prize Winner will be announced on or about September 12, 2007, subject to change.
  7. How do I register to vote?
    1.   8. Who is eligible for the contest?
    1. Participating entrant must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid email address, and be a legal resident of the 50 United States (includes D.C.) at time of entry. Employees of Lowe's Companies, Inc. ("Lowe's") ("Sponsor"), GMR Marketing LLC ("GMR"), The Valspar Corporation, Bridgetree, Inc. SPC Custom Publishing, Inc., Tribal DDB Chicago and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, sales representatives, agencies, retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and promotional and other vendor agencies involved in the promotion are NOT eligible; nor are the immediate family members (parent, spouse, child, sibling) of such employees, nor are the members of the immediate household of such employees, whether or not related. Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. At time of entry, the space entered to receive a room makeover must be 1,000 sq. ft. in size or less, and have no known structural, electric, or safety issues as determined by an inspection by a sponsor's representative.
  9. How many times can I enter?
    1. Limit one (1) entry per person/e-mail address.
  10. What are the technical requirements for photo submission?
    1. Jpeg, GIF or PNG files will only be accepted.
    2. Photograph must be equal or greater quality than 200 x 200 resolution and less than 500K in size. Those of less quality will not be considered.
  11. Can my photo contain copyrighted material, individuals or branded material?
    1. Photograph submitted as part of contest entry may not include any individuals other than the entrant or display any trademarked, copyrighted or proprietary brand names, logos, images or objects except Lowe's brands. Submission cannot defame or invade the rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any third party's personal, proprietary or intellectual rights. Submission must be consistent with the Lowe's brand reputation in the marketplace and must be suitable for audiences of all ages. Entries which, in the judges' or Sponsor's sole discretion, contain any type of vulgarity or objectionable content will be disqualified. Photograph must include ONLY the entrant; no other individuals allowed. Entries that exceed specified word limits or photograph/video size limits will be disqualified. Entries that do not meet these stated criteria, or entries that (in the judges' or Sponsor's sole discretion) may technically meet the stated criteria but do not reflect the intent and the spirit of the provisions related to participation, are not eligible.

  14. What is the Grand Prize?
    1. The Grand Prize is a Room Makeover with an estimated retail value of $37,878.70. It includes room design plans provided by a celebrity designer, home makeover supplies, and labor needed to complete the room makeover. See the Official Rules for complete details.
  15. What are the other prizes?
    1. Runners-up will receive a $100 Lowe's gift card. See the Official Rules for complete details.
  16. Is a purchase required to play? Does a purchase increase my chances of winning?
    1. No, a purchase is not required to play, and does not increase your chances of winning.
  17. How will I be notified if I win a prize?
    1. The potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified on or about September 12, 2007 by phone and/or express mail to the address and telephone information listed on the official online entry form.
  18. Where can I find a full list of the winners for this promotion?
    1. For the names of the Semi-Finalist Winners and Grand Prize Winner of the room makeover, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope postmarked by January 30, 2008 and received by February 6, 2008 to: Lowe's & Valspar's Find Inspiration and Paint It Photo Search Contest Winners List, 5000 South Towne Drive, New Berlin, WI 53151.
  19. What information are you collecting for this promotion, and how will it be used?
    1. We are planning to collect information that is needed to declare, notify and verify the winner. This includes the name, street address, city, state, zip code, phone number and email address.
